NJ's largest city — and its most demanding roofing environment
Newark is New Jersey's largest city and one of the oldest continuously inhabited municipalities in the United States. Its housing stock reflects that history: row houses in the Ironbound built in the early 1900s, brownstones and two-families in Forest Hill and Weequahic from the 1920s-40s, and mid-rise multi-family residential throughout the city's urban core. The overwhelming majority are flat-roofed — and most are overdue for membrane replacement. Navigating Newark's permit office, working in occupied multi-family buildings, and managing access in dense urban blocks requires experience you won't find with contractors who work only in the suburbs.
Beyond the flat-roof stock, Newark has genuine single-family neighborhoods — Forest Hill, parts of the North Ward, and the streets closest to Branch Brook Park — where pitched roof work is as relevant as anywhere in Essex County. We work across all of Newark's housing types and neighborhoods.
