Bergen County's retail capital — with residential neighborhoods that deserve the same care
Paramus has the highest retail sales per square mile of any municipality in the United States — and the Route 17 and Route 4 corridors make it famous across the region. But behind those commercial arteries are some of Bergen County's most well-maintained residential neighborhoods: tree-lined streets of postwar ranches, split-levels, and colonials that Paramus homeowners take enormous pride in. The roofing needs in these neighborhoods are different from the commercial side — aging asphalt that's at or past its useful life, gutters overwhelmed by the borough's significant tree canopy, and attic ventilation that never caught up with modern insulation improvements.
We've worked in Paramus on both sides. We understand the commercial flat-roof maintenance cycle on the Route 17 strip as well as the particularities of working in Paramus residential neighborhoods — including the borough's permit process and the specific code standards that apply to Bergen County construction.
